If this is your first "visit" to our church, please take a few minutes to look over our website and become familiar with our church and our congregation. We are a group of folks seeking to grow in our love of God and people as we journey towards deeper faith. We want to assist you in getting to know God and in living a life of service to others. Whether young or old, you will find respect, companionship, forgiveness, and support in our community—where we all admit that we need to be given a hand up at times, and another chance when we've made mistakes. We welcome all who wish to join us as we bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church's life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.

Worship

Sunday services are held in the Sanctuary at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee hour in the Fellowship Hall. For more information, visit our 1st Time Visitor page. (There's even a bus to help you get here!) Taize services are on the first Sunday of each month in the Chapel at 6:00 p.m. This is a quiet, reflective service of music, scripture, and prayer, based on the Taize religious order in France. Taize services are held October through June.

Fellowship

We welcome the chance to know ourselves and each other better, through participation in group activities, or just a cup of coffee together after worship. We hold several potlucks each year, and there are many opportunities for everyone to work together. Service projects include working with Habitat for Humanity, FISH, the Gleaners, United Methodist Women circles and activities, study groups and more.

New Staff Members

On April 1, Albany Methodist welcomed two new staff members, Eric and Melanie McKirdy! Eric has been hired as the Music Director and Melanie has been hired as the Youth Music Teacher. Eric will work with the choir, play organ for some worship services, and help shape the musical life of the congregation. Melanie with work with the youth of the Early Learning Center. We are excited to welcome this talented duo to our church family!
